Addisen was a feisty, adventurous and free spirited soul. Her smile, and especially her laugh, was infectious and she had a way about her that made people feel special. Addie had a big heart and loved her family and friends fiercely. Even as she struggled with her own demons, she was a source of encouragement and strength for others as they were all fighting for better lives. During her final days, she had returned home and enjoyed lots of laughter and close, special moments with her family as she looked toward the future. Her silly, brave personality will live on in our memories forever.

I know you’re not supposed to have favorites as a teacher, but Addison was one of my favorite first graders. I remember Addisen’s bright eyes, beautiful smile and kind heart. She was ready to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it, including me. Addisen was like my teaching sidekick and I loved having her in my class. She could always make me laugh and would always bring a smile to my face. My heart goes out to her family and friends. All of you are in my heart, my thoughts and my prayers.

I am heartbroken that your life was cut so short. You were always so so intelligent & so beautiful. I miss your contagious laugh and incredible sense of humor even when you were hurting. I’m sorry you had so many battles to fight so young, I’m sorry we grew apart. I’ll never forget the years we were inseperable & all the fun we had. You supported me when i needed it the most and got me through some really tough lows. I think alot of people could say that about you, you were always reaching out to make people feel better and give them something to laugh about.
I still have you in my phone as “mama carosella”. You are an amazing mom and addie loved you so much. I am thankful for the years me & addie basically lived at each others houses and got to make memories & be kids. i am terribly sorry for your loss. i cannot imagine. praying everyday for healing & peace for you, todd and the boys.
