I would like to express my sympathy on the passing of Al. He and his family lived next door to my family on Happy Hollow. Many good times and memories were made during that time.

I am sending condolences from the entire Stenberg family. The Miles family were our neighbors on Happy Hollow in Council Bluffs for many of the growing years of us children. I have so many many fond memories of those times. Al and Shirley were always so kind to us. Jan and Rich were the same age, Greg and I played together, and I don't recall who played with Bob and Donna, but there were always kids around! My folks, Larry and Jo, enjoyed the Christmas card exchanges for several years. They have both passed away, but we have many memories living on...our son even bought their house on Happy Hollow. Our sincere sympathies to all in losing Al....he was indeed a nice, nice man.

So many wonderful memories come to mind - gentle, kind Uncle Al, as a child enjoying Christmas time at the Miles, the "Moore,Bluhm 'n Miles gatherings and picnics in a local park, touring our part of SC when Shirley and Al visited us a few years ago, visiting them in their apartment in Papillion this past summer.
Our heart-felt love and prayers for the Lord's comfort goes out to you all, Aunt Shirley, Rick, Greg, Shelley, Bev, and Deanna & your families.
Your niece and cousin,
Christa & Duane
