Lorraine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard “Dick” Daup, her parents Peter and Anna (Suchy) Umatum, sisters Maurine Shramek (Dr. Charles Shramek), Virginia Umatum and Frances Umatum. Brothers; Fred (LaMoine), Richard (Dee), Peter (Sylvia), James (Penny), Donald (Ellen). Father and mother-in-law John and Clara Daup. Brother-in-law John (Ruth) Daup. Sister-in-law Ruth Daup.
Survived by her children, Kandis (Jerry) Kritenbrink, Richard (Kathy) Daup, Denise Daup, Lisa (Dan) Erxleben. Grandchildren; Michelle (Rich) Giese, Michael (Tina) Kritenbrink, Melissa (Ron) Ridgeway, Mark Kritenbrink, Sarah (Jon) Little, Rebecca (Courtney) Herre, Bradley (Cyndi) Erxleben, Andrea Erxleben, Ryan Erxleben, Tyler Erxleben. Great-grandchildren are Michaela, Mackenzie Madison Giese. Carlie and Kobe Kritenbrink. Kameryn, Caden and Kenley Kritenbrink. Shea and Tess Little. Sutton Herre. Jackson Erxleben and step-great-grandson Bryan Edwards. Brother-in-law Donald Daup. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine attended Sacred Heart Academy in Papillion, NE and graduated from Papillion High School in 1942. She was active in the community and a member of the Papillion Junior Woman’s Club and the Nezod Club for 60+ years. She was a lifetime member of St. Columbkille’s Catholic Church. She was also a member of the St. Columbkille’s Altar Society and assisted in cleaning the church. She worked in the Sarpy County Treasurer’s Office in the Motor Vehicle Department for over 30 years. After her retirement she volunteered in the Midlands Community Hospital gift shop with her dear friend Mary Skaggs. She was always gracious in giving of her time to care for her family and friends. She was very creative and enjoyed many crafts like flower arranging, sewing, ceramics, decorating and cooking. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with family and friends, especially at the holidays. She will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank Mark and the staff at Fountainview’s Cornerstone Memory Care Unit in Omaha, NE and also the staff at Still Water’s Adult Daycare in Indianapolis, IN for their loving care to their mother.
Because of COVID, there will be a Celebration of Life service set at a later date. Arrangements will be made through Kahler-Dolce Mortuary. Memorials may be directed to the family.
