Arlen M. Howe

Arlen had a long, wonderful and productive life, serving his nation, his family and his community without fail for nearly 83 years. Arlen was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Marshall and Lillian Howe. Arlen graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1952 and joined the Air Force. He married the love of his life, the former Mary Dolezal of Waco, TX in 1955. He retired from the Air Force in 1979 as a highly decorated Lt Col, earning numerous awards including three Distinguished Flying Crosses and seven Air Medals. After his retirement Arlen became a real estate agent, was active in the church, and belonged to numerous civic and volunteer activities. Arlen is preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Bill. He is survived by his loving wife Mary, daughters, Arlene Sronce, Mt Pleasant, SC, Melinda Kelly (Don), Papillion, NE, four grand-children, and two great grand-children. VISITATION: Wed, 1-8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6-8 PM, Kahler-Dolce Mortuary, Papillion, NE. MEMORIAL SERVICE with Military Honors: Fri, 1100 AM, Trinity Lutheran Church, 330 W.
