Beverly Jean Smith, born December 22, 1944, in Red Oak, Iowa, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. A devoted nurse, Beverly was an LPN at the Veterans Hospital, where she cared for those who served with compassion and dedication.
Beverly lived life with a spirit of adventure and a heart full of passion. She loved animals—especially Airedale Terriers—and spent time caring and training dogs at a kennel in San Marcos, California. Her deep connection with animals remained constant throughout her life. Her interests were as bold as they were diverse. Beverly had a love for photography, riding motorcycles, skydiving, and traveling.
Those who knew Beverly will always remember her unmistakable laugh—warm, joyful, and contagious. She brought light and energy to every room and lived her life with humor, independence, and generosity.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be directed to them for a charity meaningful to Beverly.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the joy of knowing her.
Preceded in death by mother, Edith Wolf; father, Loren Wolf; brother, Frederick Wolf; and great-grandchild, Luna.
Survived by loving children, Terri Jura, Ray (Cindy) Smith; sister, Connie Knudson; brother, Randy Wolf; grandchildren, Krystel, Stormi, Stacy, Seth, Tyler, Emma, Tanner, Xander, Tiedyn, Mya, Milo; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Leighton, Kendal, Tristan, Summer, Bentley, Sayla; and many nieces and nephews.
