Survived by wife of 55 years, Ann; children, Geri Marino & partner Bryan Timko of Tampa, FL,
Cathy Blake & husband Keith of Papillion, three grandchildren, Nathan, Grace and Monica Blake, one great grandchild, Behringer Blake, in-laws, and many friends. Charlie was born in Staten Island NY, attended NY Wagner College, served in the US Air Force as a Navigator Bombardier flying B-47
Bombers during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He served in the Pacific Theatre for both the Korean and Vietnam Wars and flew supply and reconnaissance missions in the C130, retiring after 20-years
of service as a Major. Charlie then graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree and MBA from UNO and before retiring held a successful 20+ year career as a banking officer in trust investments. For many years Charlie was an active volunteer in the Papillion Area Lions Club leading their successful annual
golf tournament.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 7 pm on Wednesday, July 27th, with a WAKE service at 7
pm at Kahler Dolce Funeral Home, 441 N Washington Street, Papillion. MEMORIAL MASS at 10 am on Thursday, July 28th at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 200 E 6th Street, Papillion. INTERMENT
for family and close friends at a later date at the Omaha National Cemetery, a new VA Cemetery to open soon in Sarpy County. Memorials may be sent to the Papillion Area Lions Club or St. Columbkille
