Buzz and my mother, Pat Mulcahy, worked together at The SMU Housing Office under Director Mack Adams Mother, also, taught English at SMU ,which was a subject Buzz liked ,and so  he tutored SMU students in English. He was always a fun date and I have many happy memories of our time together. He was smart, kind, and just plain nice to be around. I know if mother were here -lost her in 1994- she would join me and say 'Good night, sweet prince.' 

Danny was an important part of my life for about 8 1/2 years.  My family was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue from 1970-75 and then again from 1978-1981.  His parents, Dan and Faith, became grandparents to me, and he was like an Uncle.  We usually saw him over the weekends at his parents' farm.

I can remember dressing up in clothes, hats and stuff and putting on plays with Danny and my brother.  He was always letting us help feed the dogs:  Susie, Smiley, and Duke.  We rode horses, went sledding, and had picnic/campfires there on the farm.  Danny always made us laugh and enjoy life.  He was an example of a man who loved his family, and made us feel important as children.

I even remember our trip to a cabin out at Pike's Peak when my brother was really little.  We had bears in the trash outside, and when we went hiking we forgot a spoon for my brother to eat pudding so we used a brush handle.  We took a short trip while we were there to see Cripple Creek, Colorado.  We stopped along the way, my brother was asleep in the back of his blue Volkswagon station wagon.  When they opened the back he fell out!  It scared everyone, but it was funny too.

He once told me that they made the baked beans from the bees in the hives they had out there on the farm.  I didn't eat baked beans again until I was an adult.  I now like them, but I always think of him when I eat baked beans. 

I guess that's what I most remember about Danny.  He always made me laugh.  You will be missed, dear uncle and friend.

I met Danny while working in Corrections.  He was a wonderful person who genuinely cared about others.

To my dear friend Becky and her family - Danny was always one of those characters who was bigger than life! Altho' I didn't know him well in person I knew many who did and came to realize what a beloved and precious man he was.  I know he will be missed.  Bobbi Richard, Lincoln

Danny was our cousin - but he always signed his letters to us as our Cousin, Brother, Uncle.  And over the years he was all three to us.  We have photos from his childhood when mom (Eileen nee Spearman) lived with Faith and Dan.  We have photos of a visit to Lincoln years ago.  Most of all we have warm, happy memories of Danny.  We will miss him - his letters, his love and his caring for his two wandering cousins, J and J.

We will always remember the good times we
shared. Your generosity and wisdom have
enriched our lives. The ranch will never feel the same, even though your handiwork
is everywhere.

Danny, farewell my friend. Best wishes on your continued journey.  Dave, Matt, Em, and Velvet.

Such a kind, caring, witty gentleman we have lost. His like is not often seen. Though we truly mourn his passing, I suspect he is tending a beautiful forest in yet a better place and enthralled by its beauty.

Danny was such a sweet man.  Always enjoyed talking with him.  He will be missed.

Danny was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed by all who had the good fortune to have known him.
