I an sorry to hear of the passing of Presaident Flynn. He was my mission president in Philadelphia. He was a good man and I was grateful to have had the chance to know him. May the Lord bless you and uplift you at this time of sorrow.

Jean and girls:
It was nice to be able to share the funeral service with all of you.  It was a very nice remembrance of Dennis.  You two have always been the standard to which I aspired.  Your service and devotion to the Lord was so apparent to all who came in contact with you.  We have cherished your friendship throughout the last 50 years and we will miss Dennis so much.  I send prayers and good thoughts to all of you.  Please stay in touch, I will miss the emails from Dennis which kept us informed of all that was going on in your family.  It is so wonderful that you now have four of the girls living nearby to give you comfort and care.  We love your family very much and have shared so many sweet memories of times spent with all of you.  Dennis truly was a man of God, it was visible in all that he said and did. Sister Flynn, I first remember President Flynn when he served with my father Roy in the Stake Presidency.  I was a young teenager and to this day remember well his kindness and ever present smile.   What a wonderful man he is.  My sincere best wishes to you and your family.

I am sorry for your loss. Brother Flynn was a man who always made me smile. He radiated the love of Christ and I always felt that love when I was near him. I feel truly blessed because I knew him. He was truly a disciple of Christ. Sending you love and prayers for comfort and peace.

Sister Flynn,
It is likely that you will not remember me but I was committed to baptism in July, 1984 in the Philadelphia mission home with you, your husband, Elder Rau, and Elder Vincent teaching and supporting me.  I will always be grateful for your husband's kind spirit and for your collective willingness to serve the Lord.  I now have sweet memories of a mission of my own, an eternal companion, and three children growing up in the light of the restored gospel.  I want to thank you and your husband for your contribution to the blessings in my life.  I wish you and your family deep and abiding peace as you mourn.  May the Holy Spirit comfort you and testify that your loss, though painful, is only temporary.  God bless you all.

Dear Flynn family,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of President Flynn. (That is how I will always remember him) I am very thankful to have known him, and Sister Flynn.  I first met President and Sister Flynn while I was in the MTC, and was privileged to have been in the first group of missionaries to serve under his wonderful leadership. What a great example he has been, of what a good servant of the Lord should be.
Please allow me to share a memory I have of him: One morning my companion and I were asked to spend the night at the mission home, because of a transfer that ran late; the next morning we were eating cold cereal with him at the table;  I was so nervous that I started to shake, and the more I shook the more nervous I got, and the more nervous I got, the more I would shake.  By the time breakfast was over I was shaking so bad that by the time I got the spoon to my mouth, I had shaken all of the cereal off my spoon.  President Flynn noticed this and asked me to go see a doctor about it.  Even though I felt of his concern for me, I didn’t see a doctor, because I knew it was just the result of being in the presence of such a great man.  Thank you for sharing him with us.

Probably since the day I was born I have heard what a special family you are. And knowing your family it's true. I remember playing with your youngest girls and jumping on the trampoline when my dad fell off. So many great memories! Both my parents Carol Ann Wolfe Brown and Carroll Clyde Clawson, have adored you all. Their fondest memories that they've share with us have always been with you and those in the Trenton ward.
