

Ellouise was born in North Platte, NE in 1939 to George Archie Spencer and Delia Edna (Warner) Spencer. Ellouise was a graduate of North Platte High School (1957), she joined the Women’s Army Corp in the summer of 1957. She went on to pursue a career as a nurse and volunteered at both the American Red Cross and RSV in North Platte. Ellouise also enjoyed working for the North Platte Opportunity Center and caring for the adults there. Ellouise was an avid reader; her love of browsing “rummage sales” for good deals on books in her spare time was matched only by her love for breakfast food.
Ellouise was preceded in death by her parents, George Spencer and Delia (Spencer) Rockford; husband Richard E. McDaniel. Ellouise is survived by her children Ilona (Burger) Roecker, Ramona (Burger) Hawn, Lisa Wagoner, Thomas Burger, Timothy Burger, and Michael Burger; brother Leonard Spencer; and 35 grandchildren/great-grandchildren.
