I knew Everette from working at the Tri-City Pantry. He delivered baked goods and pastries to the pantry on a weekly basis for many years. He always had a special bag of pastries set aside with my name on it. I admired and liked him so much. He always had a story to tell and I enjoyed listening! I remember when Everette turned 80 and made a CD of his life story. He let me take a copy home and watch it. I also loved seeing Everette at mass every week and will miss that so much. One of the things I admired most about him was his drive and desire to work every day.

I am so sad to hear about Everett("Smitty") he was a good friend and credit manager at Nebr Tractor for many years. I had alot of respect for him, I worked at the Grand Island store, and he taught me what company "loyalty" was, and always had a joke or story for me! I will keep you all in prayer,

We at 4H Center in Gretna have learned so much about the special niche that bees work for us by the observation hive he helped us install years ago. We keep this going for our visitors' delight...the bees will miss him too:>Kathy Jeffers

Everett was a favorite fixture at the 4-H Camp. The staff loved when he would come and would stop what they were doing to gather around the hive to hear his stories, lessons, and jokes. Throughout the rest of the summer, I'd often be asked if he was coming soon again to visit. We will all miss him!

Mrs. Smith,Dave,Jomary,Jeff,and Russel:I'm so very sorry for your loss.Mr.Smith was a Great man. I have wonderful memories of him and the family. I would love to come but being in St. Charles Illinois,and work I guess my prayers and memories will be said here. I saw him @ the 4H camp about 4 or 5 years ago.
