We are so sorry for the loss of George. We especially remember his wonderful humor. Our condolences and prayers for you and your family.

LeAnn and family; Marcia and I are so sad to hear of George's passing. George was my boss for a time at Warren Distribution in Omaha but more he was my friend and I will miss him. Obviously no words can lessen the pain you feel at this time but know that George is in Heaven as we speak sharing his contagious smile with our Lord.

Dear Family,

As a classmate of George, I had the opportunity of visiting with him at the St. Joe Hall of Fame in 2009.  He had such an upbeat attitude and a strong will to survive.  His trials are now over, but his memories will live on in us forever.  May God give you added strength at this difficult time - you're in our prayers daily.

 LeAnn,  ... I'm sorry to hear about your loss; I always enjoyed visiting with Georgia when I was in Papillion.  He was fun to be around and made the event more enjoyable.  My condolences to you and you family.

I remember when Eric and I were roomates in college and playing football and George would come visit for games. He was so much fun to be around and made everyone laugh. He treated me as if I was one of his own sons. I loved George. Thanks for the memories George! Ill miss ya.

I remember George as a rugby player who played with Bill and Fred Bingle in Toledo for the Celtics, playing along with many of the people who shared his athletic interests. While I didn't get a chance to see a lot of George, my interactions with him were always with someone who could take kidding, laugh along with others easily, and generally always seemed to enjoy life to the fullest. " I remember when George came and visited me in the hospital in Toledo after my car crash a long time ago. I was lucky to be alive, and I never forgot how much his visit meant to me," says cousin Mark. And cousin Roger says, "I remember how George and LeAnn invited me to their home in Dallas for Christmas, just a few weeks after Mom passed away, when I was living in Austin. I was so sad and lonely, but they even got me a present! Their love and kindess helped brighten so much an otherwise very sad time for me, and I've never forgotten it."

My sympathy to the entire Hotz family.  Although I did not know George, growing up across the street from your family, I can still remember my brother and sisters talking about all the good things the Hotz's had done. God bless all of you.

George was my first basketball coach. He coached the 7th grade boys team at St. Joe in '66-'67 season. The Old paperboy helped. George taught us everything he knew about basketball. Maybe that's why he coached 7th grade?

George and I were the only two guys in the Class '65 that played all three sports.  We traveled together every night in my 1950 Willy's Jeep back to George's house on Wilson Ave.(he still owes me some gas money).  There George would be greeted by his loving Sisters and "not so loving" younger brothers.
I treasurer the hours we spent together talking about our love lifes (both relatively non-existent), our coaches, teachers and fellow teammates.  We felt some of them really needed some "coaching up" and George and me were just the guys to get that job done.
George was one of my very best friends in high school and I really missed him when his career caused him to leave.
Save us a place in the lockerroom Big George!

George will be missed.  Geoge was very courageous in his battle with cancer up till the end.  I have many great memories since the 1st grade of our school years and birchard park days.  I am so happy Mike B.,Mike R., Bob, Den, Bill and myself visited George in October.  That was a great time with so many stories and laughter.  I will always remember that visit (except maybe seeing Adam & Eric).  Also, Jim your mom and dad really did like me for I kept George out of trouble.
