

Gary was baptized at the Lutheran church in Arlington, Nebraska and was confirmed at the American Lutheran Church in Albion, NE in May 1949. Gary was a faithful man who served God all his life.
Gary graduated from Albion High School on May 20, 1955 and then joined the United States Navy. He served his country with pride and was honorably discharged.
Gary and Marilyn were married on September 03, 1981 at Beautiful Savior church in Ralston, Nebraska. They enjoyed 42 years of marriage and loved riding bicycles, camping, and fishing together.
Gary was a hard worker and worked for United Airlines for 16 years then was a Fireman and a Civil Engineer at Offutt Air Force Base for 27 years. He attended the fire training academy in Peoria, Illinois.
Gary was an active man. He participated with Marilyn in BRAN, the bike ride across Nebraska, for seven years as well as biking across several other states. Gary participated in motorcycle racing and riding. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Lois Paulsen and his brother, Donald Paulsen.
Gary was a loving husband to his wife, Marilyn, father of two children Kim (Dave) Neumann of Fort Calhoun, NE and Steven (Kelli) Paulsen of Kimberly, ID. He was blessed with several grandchildren that he loved dearly including Ben (Shawna) Neumann, Adam (Kristin) Neumann, Tony Neumann, Jocelynn Neumann, Casey Bond, Sydney Paulsen, Carl Bond, Sadie Paulsen, Sophie Paulsen, Colter Bond, and Sawyer Paulsen. As well as his niece, Sandy Scholwinski. He also adored his 6 great grandchildren Waylon, Winnie, Willa, Henry, Lennix, and Juniper.
