Geri Lynn Wyatt, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on September 12, 2026. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, to Harold and Florence Citta, Geri lived a life defined by love, loyalty, hard work, honesty, and thoughtfulness. She touched countless lives through her generous spirit, welcoming heart, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Geri graduated from Bryan High School and carried a strong work ethic throughout her life. She dedicated many years of service to Kellogg's before retiring. Retirement allowed her to enjoy some of life's greatest pleasures: spending time with her beloved husband, traveling, and creating cherished memories with her children and grandchildren.
For 38 wonderful years, Geri shared a loving marriage with her husband, Dalton Wyatt. Together they built a home filled with laughter, love, and traditions that became the foundation of their family.
Geri was a proud and devoted mother to Conor Casey (Jackie Casey), Curtis Casey (Bri Casey), Kelsey Rickert (Brian Rickert), Amanda Cowley (Matt Cowley), and Angela Willey (Jon Willey).
She was a deeply loved grandmother to Leighton Casey, Saylor Casey, Jaidyn Casey, Bellamy Casey, Scarlet Rubenstein, Brylynn Rickert, Wyatt Rickert, Aleyah Cowley, Nevaeh Spilski, Caidyn Spilski, Madelyn Willey, and Mason Willey.
Nothing brought Geri greater joy than being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the center of her world, and her home was a place where family gathered to laugh, celebrate, and create lasting memories. Sleepovers at Grandma's house became treasured traditions, filled with love, home-cooked meals, and the comfort of knowing they were always welcome.
Known affectionately as the "Hostess with the Mostest," Geri had a remarkable gift for bringing people together. Family and friends were welcomed into her home with open arms, a warm smile, and plenty of good food. She loved cleaning, cooking, entertaining, and creating a space where everyone felt comfortable and cared for.
Her greatest happiness came from spending time with those she loved and watching her family grow.
Geri is also survived by her sister, LeeAnn Turner.
Geri lived by the words of John Michael Montgomery, "Life's a dance, you learn as you go." She approached life's joys and challenges with grace, resilience, humor, and an open heart. Her strength, loyalty, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.
As family and friends gather to celebrate Geri's life, we invite you to reflect on the photographs displayed throughout the viewing and service. These images capture the special moments, treasured relationships, and beautiful memories that tell the story of a life well lived. They reflect a woman whose greatest accomplishment was the family she loved so deeply and the memories she created with them.
Though her presence will be profoundly missed, Geri's legacy lives on through her husband, children, grandchildren, sister, extended family, and countless friends. The love she shared, the traditions she created, and the memories she leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
"Life's a dance, you learn as you go."
