I am deeply sorry for your loss.  Heath and I were roommates back in language training and I'll never forget him.  He was a genuinely good person.

So sorry for your loss. Heath has built a legacy at Offutt and in the Air Force which will last well into the future. Your family is in our prayers.

If I could only use one word to describe Heath, it would be "genuine".  No one could ask for a better friend or confidant, and I've never met anyone with a more thoughtful, sincere, and gracious spirit.  I was blessed to call Heath one of my very best friends in this world, if not the best.  More than that, he was family -- he was the brother I always wished I'd had.

He was an instant friend to everyone who was lucky enough to have met him.  One would be hard pressed to find a negative memory of Heath.

I recall being assigned to the training office (DOT) at the 97th Intelligence Squadron in the late 1990's, and having a terrifically troublesome day...so much to learn for an old geezer.  Heath put his hand on my shoulder and said "Sgt. Lewis, let us handle all the little things that upset you. Take care of these people, make sure they get the recognition they deserve, and they'll take care of all the minutia that YOU don't need to worry about." He always had a great big smile and a way to put things in prospective. I guess God needed him too soon.

Heath is one of my heroes -- his unique personality could quickly turn a room of despair into a pool of smiles and laughter.
