The first time I ever talked to Oz was on the phone one New Year's Eve when he called from Springfield to wish my mom and dad a Happy New Year (we lived in Council Bluffs at the time). He had "had a few" so when I spoke with him, I just remembering to myself "this guy's a nut!" He was so funny and I'm glad I had the chance to know him, as well as his family. He will be missed! My condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  The best word to describe him would of been fun. Which means he will be greatly missed.  My thoughts are with you.

Jerry's Mom and my Mom were first cousins and altho' we distant cousins never got together much, we always knew about the family. My deepest sympathy in the loss of Jerry to the families.  He will be pickin' and singing to the angels now.

It seems just like yesterday when us cousins and younger brother and sister were teasing and flashing the porch light on Jodine and Jerry when they came home from a date when they were in high school. Oz was the person who made everyone around him feel happier and good. A talented musician, a master storyteller, a loyal sports fan and friend. I miss him already.
