Julia Eva Carroll

Julia Eva Carroll, 68, was born March 21, 1958, in Provo, and died August 14, 2026. She lived in Bellevue, Nebraska. Julia’s life was one of quiet goodness and steady generosity—marked by a gentle way of being, a kind-hearted spirit, and a selfless devotion to the people around her. She was beloved, and it was easy to see why: her smile and laugh could light up a room, and her positive, uplifting presence had a way of spreading to everyone nearby.

Raised in Cuba, New Mexico, Julia graduated from Cuba High School. Those early years helped shape the warmth and steadiness that would become so familiar to all who knew her—an unassuming grace that made others feel at ease and cared for.

Julia’s hands were a gift. She made custom high-quality drapery, furniture upholstery remakes, and custom blankets and pillows—work that reflected patience, care, and pride in doing things well. She was still working, continuing to create comfort and beauty through her craft, giving of herself in the practical, faithful ways that defined her life.

Julia was married to Richard "Catfish" Carroll for 48 years. Together they built a family rooted in love and closeness. She is survived by her son Adrian Lovato and wife Shelly; son Steven Carroll and wife April Ann; daughter April Carroll and fiance` Brown Bridon; grandsons Christian Moore, Kevin Howell, Keith Howell, Hank Carroll; granddaughters Isabella Moore, Alana Howell, Natalia Bridon, Aubrey Kitchen, and Amayah Bridon; and as sister to 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

She found joy in simple, life-giving pleasures: gardening, crafts, watching football, and traveling. Whether tending something growing, making something by hand, or sharing time with others, Julia carried a steady tenderness that made ordinary moments feel brighter and more meaningful.

Julia was always kind to everyone she met. She treated people like family and tried to treat everyone the way she would want to be treated—an everyday ethic of compassion that never asked for attention, yet left a lasting mark. Her beautiful soul was evident in the way she showed up for others, again and again, with warmth, patience, and a smile that made people feel seen.

MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 5701 Center Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68106, on August 25, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Julia will be remembered with gratitude and affection—for the comfort she created, the kindness she gave so freely, and the uplifting light she brought into the lives of so many.
