Karen June Cox

Karen graduated from Marina High School in Hayward, Ca. and completed her bachelor’s degree from Liberty University in History. Karen met Casey (Kelly) at a Christian service man’s center (Port-o-Call) in Castro Valley in 1973 where they were married 1975 at the Neighborhood Church. Following Casey’s Navy’s postings – They moved to San Diego for the duration of his enlistment. They returned to the Bay Area living in Benicia, California until Southern Pacific RR relocated them to Omaha. They have made Omaha their home for the last 26 years. Karen enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters especially at her happiest place on earth, Disney World.

We are deeply saddened by her passing but rejoice in knowing she is in heaven with our Heavenly Father.

Karen was preceded in death by her Parents Earnest & Dixie Howard, Brothers Paul & Kevin Howard.

She is survived by her Husband Kelly Cox. Children: Kristy (Andrew) Cook, Kevin (Kelli) Cox. Grand daughters: Ava Cook, Molly Cox, Ella Cook, Claire Cox, Norah Cox. Sister: Julie Stark - Martin. Many Nieces, Nephews other Relatives and Friends

A visitation for Karen will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kahler-Dolce Mortuary, 441 No Washington St, Nebraska 68046. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church, 420 No Washington St., Papillion, Nebraska. Interment will be at The Omaha National Cemetery at 1:30 pm on Thursday September 7, 2023
