Kathy and I job shared the night supervisor job from 1980-1994. We always talked after a rough night at work. She was always willing to cover for me so I could stay home with a sick child. We both loved to cook and made fantastic brunches for our night staff at Christmas. I still have some of her recipes. After we both left Midlands she became part of our nurses lunch group. We so enjoyed hearing about her family. I remember her showing us her new little white car with the cool lights. We were all very impressed because she and Jerry always had big cars. We will miss our friend and fellow nurse greatly.

I used to work at Midlands hospital and only knew Kathy for a short while there.
But over the past few years I was invited to go to lunch with several of the girls from Midlands. So I got to know Kathy a lot better during that time.
She was such a dear darling person and I got to enjoy her more and more during our lunches.
Now because of Covid, we haven’t been out to lunch for quite some time. Very sad!

We are so sorry to hear about Kathy. As a caring member of our Midlands’ family, our patients received such wonderful care. She was a wonderful patient advocate. She assured patients were the priority regardless of emergency, snow storm blizzards, tornados and mass injuries coming to our hospital. Blessings for her memories and to her family.
