Born on June 26, 1956, Lori grew up in Papillion. She graduated with the class of 1974 and pursued her passion for helping others by attending nursing school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Later in life, she co-owned, and then owned, Fireguard. Her son John was her world, and she cherished every moment spent with him, especially enjoying all the baseball games he played.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence (Shorty) and Darlene Jarmane Lutz. She is survived by her son, John (Taylor) Sorensen, and her siblings, Linda (Chuck) Dworak, Tom (Margie) Lutz, and Cindy (Tyric) Shuck, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Cedarhurst in La Vista for the excellent care provided to Lori. Lori loved spending time with her friends, and she will be remembered fondly by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Post 32, located at 230 W Lincoln St Suite #201, Papillion, NE 68046, on January 17, 2026, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lori's memory may be directed to the Papillon American Legion Post 32 or the Papillon Volunteer Fire Department Inc.
