Marcella M Maystrick

On June 11, 1949 she married Robert Fred Maystrick in Omaha Nebraska and had 3 children. Marcella spent quality time with each child and was very supportive of each of her children and her loving husband.

Marcella passed away peacefully on May 24, 2021, in Papillion Nebraska after a long and peaceful life. She was a registered nurse, graduated from Creighton School of Nursing, received a masters degree from John Hopkins University, and worked at Saint Joseph hospital in Omaha for several years. She was a loving wife and devoted mother of three children. She made sure each of the children received a Catholic education. She was a long-time member of Saint Columbkille Catholic parish and loved volunteering for many years with Saint Columbkille church in baking and serving numerous funeral meals to the surviving family members to make them feel more comfortable. She really enjoyed having family members around at the evening meals to learn of the family’s daily activities and provided encouragement to each on how to overcome daily challenges that one may encounter. Marcella was an inspiration to all of her children and gave special devotion and inspiration to her grandson that she dearly loved.

Marcella is survived by her children and spouses David (Mary T) Maystrick of Omaha Nebraska, Danny Maystrick of Papillion Nebraska and Teri (John) Morrison of Fort Collins Colorado and grandson Matthew Maystrick of Omaha Nebraska, brothers Lawrence (Lana) Pietzyk of Sterling Nebraska, Leonard Pietzyk of El Paso Texas, and sisters-in-law Lois and Mary Lee Pietzyk numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, and most beloved husband: Robert Fred Maystrick, brothers Ralph (Doris), Earl, Jim (Cathy), Leo (Karon), Joseph, Ray Pietzyk, and sister MaryAnn (Cab) Morrissey.

She would happily pray for everyone in need and for special intentions. Please keep praying and saying the rosary for loved ones. That would complete her last wishes.
