Meg was a compassionate teacher for over 20 years and taught for many years at St. Matthew’s in Virginia Beach, VA, St. Columbkille in Papillion, NE, and at Bellevue Elementary in Bellevue, NE.
An avid reader, her lifelong passion for history and her nurturing personality helped mentor hundreds of students and encouraged them to achieve their dreams and be successful in life. A global traveler, she stimulated students with stories of her many visits to historic sites around the world and infused them with the passion she had for history and discovery.
She loved her children very much, always there to comfort and guide them through the many challenges a military family must often face. She was a loving, caring grandmother excited with the joy her grandchildren brought her and they were always at the forefront of her mind, even at the very end.
Meg loved trivia competitions, word games, book clubs, and visits to craft shows. Her cheery personality, positive outlook, and selfless nature was a gravitational force that attracted many friends towards her.
Strong and resilient when faced with life’s most demanding challenges, she was a very pleasant soul who is sorely missed by all who had the great fortune to have her come into their lives.
