Marjorie Louise Davis née Busse was born to Kurt Albert Busse and Marjorie Evelyn Busse on November 14, 1942 in Council Bluffs. She grew up in southwest Iowa. She graduated in 1959 from Minden High School. She met and married James Newell McCollough in December 1960. The couple had four children: Katherine, Suzan, Timothy, and Todd. The couple was devastated by the death of their infant child Todd in 1971 and would permanently separate afterwards. In August 1977, Marge married the love of her life, Walter Robert Davis. Most important to her were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren some of whom she helped to raise. Also of deep importance to Marge was the friendship she forged with Wren Newman and her husband Rob. Over their 25 year friendship, they made dozens of quilts, and played thousands of hands of bridge.

Survived by children: Katherine McCollough, Suzan (Marc) Van Wilgen, Tim McCollough (Victor); stepdaughters: Jeanne LeAnne, Sheri, Rae-Lynne; grandchildren: Megan (Joel), Christopher, Elyjah, Noah; great-grandchildren: Julie, Teigen, Thomas; brother, Kenneth (Wanda) Busse; nieces, nephews; close friends, Wrenny and Rob Newman; other relatives and many friends.
