To the family of Marlene Petrovich,

Kristi , John and Family,  I am so sorry for your loss.  I wish I had been able to attend the funeral.  I did not find out about it until 9:30 p.m.  I have been away in New York as Bob's Father just passed away after being ill for the last few months.  I, too, lost my Mom this past July.  I guess it is the time in our lives where this happens.  It is not easy!  Your Mom was another Mother to me growing up.  She was the BEST!  The 4th of July parties, Camp Fire Girls, camping on the river, cheerleading, meeting on the "new road", long talks, late slumber parties, swimming in the dark, grilling out, and the list goes on.  She always included me, helped me with decisions, supported my endeavors, and I loved her very much!  I know the sadness of loss, please know that I will continue to pray for your families (including Mike, Valerie, and Marty's families!)  Love, Geri

Marlene babysat me when I lived on 38th St.  It would have been in the late 60's.  I have so many wonderful memories of being at your house and spending time with Martin and Valerie.  My aunt in Council Bluffs sent me the obituary.  God bless your family during this sad time.  Your mom was a great lady.

Marlene was a great mentor and fantastic nurse, as she taught many of us the compasssion to be a nurse and the drive to continue to do nursing for many years. Mike and family, I am so sorry for your loss.  Marlene was a great mentor and nurse when I started so long ago on 5North at Clarkson. Not many of us left up there who remembered her.  God Bless all of you during this most difficult time.

I worked for many years with Marlene.  She was an exceptional nurse.  When I was a new graduate she mentored me and what I recall most is the love she had for her grandchildren.  I asked her a few years back, now that I have gkids, who could you possibly love more, and she said, great-grands!  
I am very sorry for your loss.  She was a neat lady!

I don't know if you remember me, but I baby sat all you kids when you lived behnd me when you lived on 30th Street.  I am sending my condolences to all of you and remember your family fondly, Mike Sr., Kristi, Mike, Marty and Valerie!  Marlene was my mentor.
