Mary Dianne (Crossland) Beyer preceded in death by husband Wayne, parents Vernon & Elna Crossland, Daingerfield Texas. Survived by Richard Crossland (brother), stepdaughter Anna Marie Hammond & stepson Wayne Beyer Jr. Born in Pittsburg, Texas. Attended Daingerfield public schools graduating in 1960. Graduated from TWU in 1964 with double major in English & History. Masters degree in Education from Pepperdine University in 1972. Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in United States Air Force 1964 serving 23 years. Assignments included Strategic Air Command bases, Vietnam, Joint Task Force operations in Europe, the middle East, and Central America. Air Force specialties included transportation, EOD, SIOP, military police, disaster preparedness, administration, joint mobility deployment & operation. Upon retirement Mary returned to Papillion, Nebraska. She and husband actively supported veteran organizations, animal rights & Shriners Hospital for Children. Graveside Services and Interment will be in the Crossland family plot, Daingerfield, Texas.

Diane was a family friend in east Texas. She followed in her father's footsteps as a leader. She was a patriot as was her brother, Marvin, both serving with distinction in the armed forces. She was a take charge kind of person. I always looked up to her.
