Mom
  It is so hard to say good bye to my very special mother, my mentor, I admired and adored. You always knew my heart before I knew and always surprised me with your responses to my needs. I will always treasure all the years and times we spent together and the special memories and surprises you shared with me! My favorite memory (I knew you were behind) was when you and dad purchased a used dish washer and brought it over to surprise me! , I was pregnant and having a hard time with sickness when I stood, doing the dishes and you wanted to help me out! 
 You always knew the right thing to say to guide me with your unconditional love, strength, and perfect example of a mothers love! I adore you and love you so much. I will miss you so very much!

Mary was such a special person.  She took care of my siblings and I many years ago, and although I was very young at the time, I still remember her kind heart and loving personality (and her yummy pies!).  She never missed my birthday; in fact, I usually received her card first in the mail before any others. She thought of me at both my high school and college graduation--she is absolutely one of the most thoughtful people I have known, and I will cherish the memories of the time we spent together throughout my childhood.  She will be greatly missed by many!  Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Truly Aunt Mary was one of the Special Ladies in my life growing up. I still think back to the Pinochle marathons every time our Parents got together. I am sorry we will not be able to be there at this time. But Please know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers.

We will miss you Aunt Mary. You were always my special Aunt! Love you forever!

Mary was a very dear woman. She always had a smile on her face and in her heart. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.

Mary L McLain was more than just a Mother. We say goodbye to a woman who grew up on a farm, started teaching at age 17,married, raised 5 kids on a blue collar wage, and would have always given her last dime to someone she thought needed it more then she. Our  Mother also watched out for other South Omaha kids. Was very involved with her church. Loved to laugh, play bingo or cards, watch soap operas, and made a mean coconut meringue pie!
