Michelle M Benham

Michelle was born May 27, 1965 to Dennis Reynolds and Carol Harlow in Omaha, NE.

Throughout her life, Michelle always cared most about her family. She was well known for her bright smile and infectious laugh and her love and loyalty to those she cared about most. Michelle never had any problems making friends. She was an amazing listener who never judged, and always knew the perfect thing to say. Michelle was a person you could count on. Michelle was a mom.

Whether it was calling her late at night to ask about your favorite juice (“mom, do I drink cran-apple or cran-raspberry”), or needing a ride after a late night at the bar, she was always there for you. A shoulder to cry on, a nice warm hug, a random dance party in the middle of the living room, a mom.

More recently she could be found talking about her first grandson, Johnny, who is 3 months old. She would tell anyone who would listen how smart he is, how strong he is, how Mimi Chelle could make him smile so big. She also enjoyed long chats around the kitchen table with any of her beloved family members. She loved teaching her dogs new tricks, as well as cuddling her pups in bed while watching the latest tv show.

Michelle is survived by her Mother, Carol Harlow of Waterloo, NE, Father and Step-Mother Dennis and Barb Reynolds of Council Bluffs, IA, Herb and his Wife Doreen Richmond of Council Bluffs, IA, Aunt, Judith Mena of Waterloo, NE, and her Daughter Tonia Mena, Son, Trent Benham of Bellevue, NE, Daughter and Son-in-Law, Arissa and John “Jack” Trefz, Grandson, John “Johnny” Trefz, of Papillion, NE, Sister Roxane, and her Husband Tom Ellis of Lincoln, NE, Nephew, Geoffrey Ellis and his Son Leo Ellis, Sister Laurie Richmond of Waterloo NE, Niece Hannah DeBuse, Brother Travis Reynolds of Council Bluffs, IA, and Nieces Amber, Tabitha, Rainey, Sophia, and Nephew Jacob Reynolds, and beloved rescue dog Tali as well as many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. She is preceded in death by her Step-Father, Kenneth “Papa” Harlow, Grandparents Joyce (Christianson) and John "Jack" Reynolds, Marvel (Kelley) and Vacluv Ondracek, Bethal (Curren) and Russell Harlow, and beloved Golden Retriever, Dakota.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 21st from 4pm-6pm at Kahler-Dolce Mortuary: 441 N Washington St., Papillion, NE 68046. Flowers can be sent to the same address. The family asks for tributes to made to the Nebraska Humane Society.
