I still think of Nancy often.  My friendship with her will always be a part of me.

Michael, I am from Center.  My name is Shirley Jaramillo.  I was starting junior high when Nancy was a senior.  I want you to know that you did a wonderful job with the slide show of Nancy!  I actually saw her ride in the parade the year she was Miss Stampede! Since I live in Center, I go by her old house almost every day.  It was great to see pictures of Carl and Viriginia.  The whole family was such a warm and caring group of people, and they will all be missed.  You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

sponsor for Nancy when she was Miss Stampede. ( I was Miss Stamped in
1955)  She was above all a classy lady at all times. My girls reminded me of
of the delapidated old doll Nancy found in the trash when she was making an
appearance in Creede.  The doll went with her everywhere!!  Mike what a 
beautiful tribute to Nancy "and" your family .If you have not read the book

To Nancy's family:  My condolences.  My late husband David and his brothers grew up with Nancy in Center, and I worked with her brother and mother at the bank in Center.  And her Dad cut everyone's hair!  So I was sorry to hear of her passing.  Enjoyed the wonderful slide show, and am glad that you put it together.  It is part of the celebration of life and the healing process.

I am so sorry for your loss of such a beautiful and wonderful woman.  I was lucky enough to be chosen to be the ring bearer in Nancy and Michael's wedding many years ago in Center, Colorado.  I was always enamored of the beautiful bride and wanted to look just like her.  Years later my husband and I moved to the Omaha area and I was so very happy to see Nancy and Michael again.  Nancy came to the hospital when I had my first child, Anthony and my second Nicole.  She taught Anthony to eat "trees" aka broccoli.  I found a wonderful babysitter and friend.  To this day I still want to be just like her, elegant, soft spoken and kind.  God blessed us with her wonderful soul, and I will be forever indebted to her for helping me when my family was so far away.

I went to school with Nancy's brother Tom and always had fond memories of Nancy.  Although I only knew her during about the first quarter of her life, your beautiful slide show shared such a joyful and full life you all shared.

I enjoyed viewing the photo gallery of Nancy throughout her life.  I was privileged to work with Nancy in her fourth grade classroom the last two years she was at Tara Heights Elementary.  We had a lot of fun working together.  I was also pleased to see that Nancy was such a horse and animal enthusiast...I love seeing the photos of her with the horses and dogs!   The most moving aspect of your wonderful video was that Nancy was always smiling....something I also remember about her.  I will miss her.

Mike, Jason and family - What a blessing it has been to have had the opportunity to share such a wonderful friendship with Nancy.  We laughed several times at how we came to know each other...the only parents driving several hours in a snowstorm, through dorment cornfield country roads in northern Nebraska to watch our kids play basketball and do cheerleading!  I don't think either of us knew who won the game we enjoyed visiting so much!  Of course talking about the differences a parent encounters raising boys vs. girls was always a stimulating conversation.  During Nancy's last years of teaching, being hired as her classroom aide was quite fun!  What a treat to work together with your good friend...and get paid for it!  After we moved to Colorado, I truly enjoyed Nancy's invitation for me to spend a few days with her mom/dad in Center, Colorado.  What a wonderful time it was to meet her mom/dad and have Nancy share where she grew up.  I really enjoyed her little hometown...a unique little place where everyone either grew up together, or knows who you're talking about!  Nancy had shared that as a young girl, she loved horseback riding with her dad-- which later led to her becoming a rodeo queen at the county fair in Monte Vista, CO--Miss Stampede. I always admired how "put-together" Nancy dressed...never a hair out of place!  She loved to watch "J" play ball...even if it wasn't always comfortable for her in the hot, sticky sun--that's where she wanted to be!  Mike, I'm so happy I was able to spend time with you and Nancy last Fall.  I'll always remember Nancy's loving, amiable spirit and how patient and lovingly you cared for her.  I'll miss you, Nancy Dailey and the classy lady that you are!  Continued prayers for you, Mike, of peace and care.  Know that the Pikes Peak Colorado mountain area can be very restful...and our home is always available.  May God Bless you, Jason and Family

The slideshow is beautiful!  So glad I was able to share in a part of Nancy's life.  She was a great bunco buddy for many years and all of us enjoyed getting together every month.
