Preceded in death by parents: Francis R. Cummings and Josephine M. Kaminsky; brother Joseph E. Cummings; sister Elizabeth A. Kaminsky; daughter-in-law Marye Lynn Cummings.
Survived by wife Susan; son Michael R. (Jen) Cummings; daughter Jennifer J. (Mike) Dougherty; grandchildren Michelle (Matt) Kolb; Collin (Annika), Grace, and Chloe Dougherty; sister Gail Viets; brother Peter (Pat) Kaminsky.
Visitation will take place on April 21, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. at Kahler-Dolce Mortuary, 441 N. Washington St., Papillion, Nebraska.
A Funeral Mass will be held on April 22, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 200 E. 6th St., Papillion, Nebraska. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Richard asked in lieu of flowers, any memorials be for Saint Columbkille Funeral Luncheon Ministry or American Legion Post #32.
