He worked his entire life retiring when he was 83. He was a hard worker and entrepreneur. He enjoyed family gatherings, good food and music. He was an avid sports fan, loved baseball & his dominos. He loved gardening and enjoyed being outside. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. This is a tremendous loss to the family ending an era of history.
Roberto is survived by his children, Evelyn Alonso of Nebraska City (Richard Burns), Jorge Alonso of Oceanside, CA. (Melissa Alonso), Richert Alonso of Nebraska City (Carey Allgood); grandchildren: Kaleb Burns, Katelyn Burns, Jacob Burns, Nicholas Burns, Ashley Alonso, Abby Alonso, and Camryn Alonso. Brother: Juan Fransico Alonso. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Aleyda Alonso, parents Juan Alonso Docobo & Tomasa Barrios-Pomare, brother, Jose Alonso, sister, Nilda Alonso.
VISITATION Thursday August 23 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Kahler-Dolce Mortuary. FUNERAL MASS Friday August 24 at 10:30 am St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 200 E. 6th St. in Papillion followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery.
