Pastor Perry,

I will never forget your selfless care for the members of Flat Creek Baptist Church. I was blessed to be one of them. I have no doubt, the first words you heard were "well done,  my good and faithful servant." You walked the talk.  As the Ray Boltz song lyric says, "Thank you for giving to the Lord. I am a life that was changed. Thank you, for giving to the Lord, I am so glad you gave." I cannot hear that song without thinking of you. I always have, from the first time I heard it.

I am glad to call Ron Perry my friend. We were friends since my family moved to Penn Yan in 1961. We met through church and I was privileged to know Ron as a faithful and true friend.  Proverbs 27:6 says "faithful are the wounds of a friend." Ron was quick to encourage but he was also faithful to give correction when needed and I often needed it.

Although we are all at a loss at his passing Ron is at a GAIN. He gained heaven and has a seat in the heavenly stadium and is surrounded by "so great a cloud of witnesses" Hebrew 12:1, where he is cheering on those of us left behind.

He has gained an early audience with the Lord Jesus Christ and I can envision him hugging his dad and spending hours chatting with those who went before him into heaven.

It is sad for us because he is missed, but how delightful for Ron. He is now free from life's ills and suffering.

To Vickie and those who were closest to Ron, may you know the peace of Christ that surpasses all understanding. And, may our Savior guard your hearts and minds. Philippians 4:7-9

I have so many fond funny memories of Ron, I think my favorite memory of him will always be when he is telling a story he would get so excited, he would slap his leg and say oh my word! That always made me laugh. 

Ron we will miss you!!!

My deepest sympathy to Ron’s wife and family.  I had the privilege to get to know Ron through his work.  I never met a more dedicated,  Resident focused, caring person.  He not only touched the lives of his Residents, he touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure to be part of his work family.  Ron went above and beyond in everything he was a part of.
