A proud Monarch, Ronn graduated from Papillion-La Vista High, carrying forward the steady determination of someone who believed in showing up, doing the work, and doing it well. That same work ethic became a defining rhythm of his life—quietly consistent, reliably strong, and grounded in the conviction that responsibility matters.
Ronn served his community in law enforcement, beginning with the Bellevue police force and later continuing with the Papillion police force. He brought a fighter’s resolve to that calling—meeting challenges head-on and staying the course when it counted.
He later retired from OPPD at the Ft. Calhoun Nuclear Plant, a role that reflected his steadfast commitment to serious work done with care. Even in retirement, he kept moving forward, working at Beardmore Chevrolet and staying connected to the practical, hands-on world he appreciated.
Ronn’s interests were full of energy and purpose: NASCAR races, Chevy trucks, and a deep love of history. He also carried an engaged, political spirit—paying attention, holding opinions, and caring about the world beyond his own front door.
Ronn is survived by his wife, Ruth; son, Martin; Daughter, Kayla (Jeff) Burke; grandsons, Dresden, Thaxton, and Lachlan Burke; and brother, Blaine (Marcia) Jungers.
