Verena passed away Friday morning four days after her 102nd birthday surrounded by her family. Verena was born in Westphalia, IA. She lived in the Omaha area most of her adult life. Verena married her husband Michael in 1936 and celebrated 56 years of marriage until Mike’s death in 1992. They raised three children. Verena lived in Harmony Court Senior Center in Bellevue for the last eighteen years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike, son-in-law, Dale Lenon and 2 brothers. She is survived by her son, Gene (Kathy) Shroeder; daughters, Connie (Rod) Olson and LaVonne Lenon; 10 grandchilden, 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL MASS Monday, 10:30am, St Marys Catholic Church, Bellevue. Burial Calvary Cemetery, Omaha. VISITATION at mortuary Sunday, 5-7pm with rosary service at 7pm. Memorials to favorite charity.
