Wayne worked for Varsity Transportation for 35 years. He also served as the general maintenance man for his wife’s hair salon—owned together—for more than 50 years, offering his time and care in countless practical ways that spoke to his kind heart and faithful devotion.
Wayne was married to his wife, Linda (Schwer) Heine, for 56 years. Together, they raised two daughters, Jaime (Jeremy) Hodges and Kelli (Adam) James. Wayne was a loving father and Papa, and he will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Lydia, Lauryn, and Layton Hodges, and Noah and Brody James. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Heine.
