

The family has scheduled a celebration of Amanda’s life for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9th at Living Word Assembly of God Church, 3515 Bonham St., Paris, TX 75460, with Rev. Kelly Adams officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
Mrs. Leathers, the daughter of Finis Dalton & Cynthia Virginia Carter Dalton, was born June 29, 1948, in Groom, TX. She taught in the Special Education Department of the Pampa Independent School District for many years until retirement. She had a great love and affection for children. A faithful Christian, Amanda spent her life serving in the churches of her community. She and her husband, Wayne, spent a lifetime being caregivers to their parents, children, grandchildren, and friends. She spent her lifetime serving in schools, churches, nursing homes, and so much more.
Amanda loved gardening, flowers, and plants. She enjoyed collecting recipes and cooking for family and friends. She was known as the kindest, sweetest, and gentlest person who cared for every person she came into contact with.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Wayne Leathers, and a brother, Danny Dalton.
Survivors include two children, Brandon Wayne Leathers & wife Carla and Jennifer Mann & husband Grant, 8 grandchildren, Haley Jones & husband Isaac, Gabby Leathers, Kaleigh Welch & husband Jimmy, Karli Dauernheim & husband Phillip, Krisanna Spillman & husband Jack, Sarah Price & husband Andrew, Stephen Paul Mann, and Matthew Mann, 9 great grandchildren, Emily Jones, Maggie Jones, Tatum Jones, Oliver Jones, Elaiana Welch, Leo Welch, Ezra Dauernheim, Eva Dauernheim, and Aurora Spillman along with a brother, Finis Bradley Dalton and many nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
