Astrid Joan Dixon

Astrid Joan Dixon, 69, of Paris, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Legend Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

The family has scheduled a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 12th at the church. Inurnment will be made in Evergreen Cemetery. Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.

Astrid, the daughter of Oswald Patrick Dixon & Lucy Simona Rego Dixon, was born April 14, 1956, in Bombay, India. She grew up in India and migrated to the United States in 1993. For a short period of time she worked for Peggy Scruggs in Hugo, OK. Astrid then moved to New York where she worked for a travel agent. In 2011, she made her home in Paris, TX where she assisted her sister, Oriel Carey, with the care of her husband, Ken. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.

Her parents preceded her in death. Survivors include her siblings, Ingrid (the late Macky), Oriel (the late Ken), Arlene (Stan), Errol (Chicko), and Judy, nieces, Nicola (Benhur), Sammy (Amit), and Sharon (Tareque), nephews, Mikhail and Dewayne, grand nephews, Zach, Sahil, Rohan, Armaan, and Ishaan, and a grand niece, Alex along with a host of friends.
