Barbara Elaine Rice, 64, of Paris, formerly of Midland, passed away Tuesday, March 07, 2017, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Bright-Holland Funeral Home transferred Barbara to Ellis Funeral Home in Midland where Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 11, 2017 in Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. Barbara was born Aug. 29, 1952, in Midland. For a number of years she worked in healthcare as a nurse’s aide. Her father owned & operated a Texaco station in Midland where she was a cashier. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Midland where she was active in the children’s ministry, a Sunday school teacher, and worked with the bus ministry. Her father, Tom M. Rice, preceded her in death. Survivors include her mother, Marjorie Rice of Paris, a sister, Sandy Farmer & husband Joe of Paris along with a niece, Emily Anne Farmer and a nephew, Thomas Wayne Farmer.
