Catherine S. Holloway

Catherine Shaw Holloway, 72, of Blossom, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017. The family has scheduled a memorial service for 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 9th, at the Petty Baptist Church with Dr. Nick Holloway and Rev. James Barnes officiating. Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Mrs. Holloway, the daughter of Harry & Rosalyn Thomas Shaw, was born March 15, 1945, in Paris. She was a four time survivor of breast and chest cancer for more than twenty years. Catherine died in the same house where all of her aunts and uncles were born, especially her mother Rose Thomas Shaw. She attended her early years of school in Blossom before the family moved with her father’s work in the oil fields. Catherine’s career in payroll and accounting spanned a number of years. She was a member of the Petty Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Edward “Nick” Holloway, a son, Michael Lutts & wife Kim of Tyler, a daughter, Diane Lutts, three step-daughters, Patty of Easley, SC, Marie of Ft. Worth and Lori of Greenville, SC, thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren along with a host of friends.
