Charlie William Canida, 79, of Powderly, passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at his home. The family has scheduled memorial services for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15th, at Powderly Church of God with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Cremation was under the care & direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Mr. Canida was born April 1, 1937, in Petty. He retired from Southwestern Foundry and had owned & operated a tape, bed and painting company. Charlie loved fishing in the Red River and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Joseph Cedrone, and two daughters, Mary Louise Canida and Ramona Canida. Survivors include his children, Robbie Reinke, Renee Beckham, Steve Canida, Chuck Canida and Bobby Canida, the mother of his children, Louise Canida Moreland, thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren along with a host of friends.
