

Deborah Joan Mitchell, 60, of Blossom, passed away, at her home, Tuesday, November 10, 2015, surrounded by her family. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled a memorial service for 10:00 am, Friday November 13, 2015 at First Christian Church in Detroit with Reverend Gary McCaine officiating. A family visitation will be held from 6-7 pm, Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation was conducted under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Deborah was born June 29, 1955 in Paris to Harold Boze Allen and Ruby C. Keener. She graduated in 1973 from Prairiland High School. She married Philip R. Mitchell on January 25, 1974, having built together over 41 years of family and memories. Deborah loved being with her grandkids and she loved cooking. For 25 years she tirelessly and faithfully worked side by side with her husband, in their family dairy farm. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ronnie Allen; two nephews, Kevin Allen and Hunter Norwood and a sister-in-law, Donna Mitchell. Survivors include her husband Philip of the Red Oak Community; a daughter, Reigen Lox & husband Richard of Little Elm; a son, Brian Mitchell & wife Dorothy of the Red Oak Community; grandchildren, Richard, Jr., Emma & Hayden Lox all of Little Elm, Breckin Mitchell & Kayla Witt both of the Red Oak Community; a sister, Robin Norwood of Pattonville; a brother-in-law, Keith Mitchell & wife Leann of Blossom; a nephew, Kaine Allen & wife Traci of McKinney; nieces, Hanah Glass & husband Bryan of Powderly, Kelli Gwaltney & husband Trey of AR, DeAnna Bridges & husband Branson of TN and Kim Suddeath & husband Eric of TN; an aunt, Dorothy Mitchell of Duncanville, along with several great-nieces, nephews, other extended family and a host of friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Deborah’s Friends and Family. Deborah’s family wishes to thank all her doctors and nurses and the kind, caring people with Platinum Hospice, for their care and concern. In lieu of usual floral memorials, the family wishes for memorial donations be made to The Red Oak Cemetery Association.
