Edna Virginia Barksdale

Edna Virginia Barksdale, 78, of Paris, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, at the Medical Center of Plano. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23rd, at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Michael King officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Barksdale, the daughter of Walter & Eva Ford Burnett, was born July 13, 1938, in Paris. She was a seamstress and a beautician. Virginia was a long-time member of Providence Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Vance, whom she married on Dec. 21, 1956, building 59 years of family and memories, one daughter, Renea Wade & husband Carl of Paris, grandchildren; Brittany Ford & husband Dustin of Liberty City, Shelby Wade & wife Haley of LaPorte and Mallie Wade & finance Dyllan Retos of Paris, a great grandson, Easton Ford of Liberty City, four brothers, Gerald Burnett & wife Tena of TN, Harold Burnett & wife Ella of Kansas, Keith Burnett of Texas and Tim Burnett & wife Karen of Kansas along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends. Casket bearers will be: Rick Williams, Jack McFadden, Will Rember, Carl Wade, Shelby Wade and Dyllan Retos. Honorary bearers will be: Doug Sanders, Chris Farris and Robby Walker.
