

Elizabeth Ann Rasberry, 69, of Paris, passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, at the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Mackey officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery at Ben Franklin. A formal visitation is not planned. Mrs. Rasberry, the daughter of Oscar Boyd & Lilly America Foustine Bruner Boyd, was born May 5, 1947, in Greenville. She married Billy K. Rasberry on Jan. 30, 1964, building forty-eight years of family and memories before his death on Aug. 31, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Opal. Elizabeth owned and operated Elizabeth’s Beauty Shop in Powderly for many years before her retirement. She was a founding member of Lamar Point Baptist Church where she had served as church treasurer. Survivors include three children, Marsha Crosswhite & husband Brad of Lamar Point, Lisa Martin & husband Travis of Copeville and Clayton Rasberry & wife Kelly of Trent, grandchildren, Andrew Crosswhite, Hannah Crosswhite, Colt Martin, Trevor Martin, Amber Massey, Chase Rasberry, Cade Rasberry, Keeley Rasberry Landon Rasberry and Corey Rasberry, great grandchildren, Brayden Massey and Mykah Massey, siblings, Debbie Karr, Gene Boyd, Bob Boyd, Mary Linda Pritchet, Roger Boyd, Ricky Boyd and Kathy Mize along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends. Casket bearers will be: Colt Martin, Trevor Martin, Aaron Massey, Blake Karr, Andrew Crosswhite, Chase Rasberry & Cade Rasberry. Malakai Bateman will serve as an honorary bearer.
