Freddy Wayne Owings

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled a graveside service for 2:00 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1st at Midway Cemetery in Talco.

Mr. Owings, the son of Clarence Arthur Owings & Margaret Cunningham Owings, was born Nov. 13, 1930, in Talco, TX. His career as a truck driver spanned 35 years before his retirement. He enjoyed camping, especially with his grandchildren. Freddy loved telling stories of his childhood, of riding his horse every day and fishing. Even at an older age he still enjoyed fishing. He was a wonderful cook and cooked for the family, especially during holidays.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Dora (Smith) Owings in 2016, his father, Clarence Arthur Owings, his mother & step-father, Margaret Cunningham Tennison & Elton Tennison, a son, James “Jimmy” Owings, a grandson, Jimmy Wayne Owings, two brothers, Robert Owings and Marvin Owings and a sister, Dorothy Smith.

Survivors include two daughters, Anita Pratt & husband Ricky and Susie Agee & husband Ronnie, grandchildren, Malorie, Kylie, Carey and Gene Paul, great grandchildren, Cooper, Conner, and Lila along with several nieces & nephews and a host of friends.

The family would like to extend appreciation to Chambers Home Health & Hospice for the care given their loved one.
