Georgie Lou Marshall Hatfield, 91, of Cunningham, was born Aug. 3, 1924, in Minter, Texas. She fell asleep in this life on March 28, 2016, to await the shout and trumpet call to rise with the saints. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30th, under the pavilion of Restland Cemetery in Cunningham. A formal visitation is not scheduled. Mrs. Hatfield will lie in repose at the funeral home for those wishing to pay respects. She is survived by her sisters, Virginia Roby & Barbara Marshall; daughter, Sheran Johle; son, Stanley Hatfield; granddaughter, Virginia Johle; a niece & nephew who were her caretakers, Davy Jo and Virgil Rogers along with numerous nieces & nephews. Georgie Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Otho L. and Mary Ethel Chance Marshall, brother; Holland “Lefty” Marshall; sister, Annie Ruth Huffman; sister & brother, Carol Jean and Charles Williams. Honorary bearers will be: Virgil Rogers, Bobby Kennedy, Johnny Whitney and Tommy Owens.
