Janice M. "Jan" Staley

Janice M. “Jan” Staley, 76, of Paris, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 28th, at Restland Cemetery in Roxton with Rev. Ken Cannon & Rev. Robert Myre officiating. A formal visitation is not scheduled, however, those wishing to pay respects may visit the funeral home. Mrs. Staley, the daughter of Louis Frank & Willie M. Wood Smith, was born March 2, 1941, in Delta County. She worked at Westinghouse before becoming a realtor. Jan was in real estate for many years in the Paris area and had been a member of the Paris Board of Realtors. Jan was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Paris. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Stacey Staley, two brothers, K. B. Smith and Rayford Keen and two sisters, Cloteen Johnson and Valorie Taliferro. Survivors include her husband, Billy E. Staley, whom she married on May 20, 1960, in Deport building fifty-seven years of family and memories. Jan is also survived by many extended family members and a host of friends.
