Jeff “Si” Smallwood, 77, of Paris, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 2:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19th, at the Open Air Chapel of Evergreen Cemetery with David Robison officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Si, the son of J. B. and Ovella Muller Smallwood, was born Aug. 10, 1939, in Brookston. He owned and operated Smallwood Sand & Gravel. Si attended Brookston Baptist Church for a number of years and hauled countless loads of rock for new churches as a courtesy. He was an avid hunter and loved motorcycles. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Louise Robison Smallwood, whom he married in 1971, two daughters, Billie Kyle & husband Shannon of Powderly and Charlotte Smallwood of Paris, two granddaughters, Taylor Kyle and Harley Kyle along with many friends. Casket bearers will be: David Cochran, Jeff Robison, Wesley Buster, Shannon Kyle, Robert Allen, Lanny Hicks and Jim Bryant.
