Memorial services are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 5th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Hood officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Johnny, the son of Henry Morris Meredith & Ima Gene Atkinson Meredith, was born Feb. 27, 1947, in Lamar County, TX.
He attended Paris Schools. Johnny’s father was a painter, and he began working with him at the age of 12, and worked until his health failed.
Johnny attended Life Community Church. He was a member of the Paris Road Runners and participated in triathlons until the age of 70. Some of his favorite things were the beach, snow skiing, and helping his many friends and people in need. Johnny always had a joke to tell and a smile on his face. He loved drinking coffee – all day & all night!
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Rose Stanfield, and three sisters, Jeanetta Robinson, Ruth Ann Turner, and Linda Corbett and his beloved dog, Pooper.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Briscoe Meredith, children, Cynthia Meredith, Barbara Carson (Barry), Wesley Meredith (Melanie), Johnny Meredith, Jr. “Chicken” (Lori), Crystal Fuller (Eric), Jessica Sisson (Steward), Georgina Westbrooks (Hunter), Keela Narramore (James) and a son in law, Jack Stanfield, grandchildren, Brandon, C. J., J. D., John, Marissa, Ashley, Kevin, Jordan, Matthew, Aaron, Justin, Keylan, Brandon, Isabella, Jaxon, Parker Grace, Collin, Mia, Tia, and Frankie, 15 great grandchildren, and a sister, Barbara Jean Harrington along with many nieces, nephews and friends and his beloved dogs, Bella & Paxton. Johnny's family extends heartfelt appreciation to Honey Grove Nursing Center and Heart to Heart Hospice for the exceptional care given their loved one.
