

Kenneth Orville McIntyre, 66, of Deport, passed away Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24th, at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery. Kenneth, the son of Orville Lafayette McIntyre & Ruby Elizabeth Sheppard McIntyre, was born Jan. 30, 1950, in Mendenhall, MS. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1969-1975. His career as a truck driver spanned many years, and he also worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Kenneth enjoyed wood working and Trade Days at Canton. He was a member of VFW Post # 3907 in Palestine, Texas. His parents and one sister, Phyllis, preceded him in death. Survivors include four children, Kristi Dalton & husband Will of Houston, Monica Neusen of N. C., Joanna Wilson & husband Royce of Powderly and David Mathis & husband Steven Hobbs of Big Spring, grandchildren, Cole & Blake Dalton, Ryanne Neusen, Jessica, Juston, & Keithian Wilson, Parker Gray and Riley Franco, a brother, Mac McIntyre & wife Carol of Palestine, a sister, Carolyn Jones & husband Janus of KY along with several nieces and nephews.
