

Linda Jean Wasson Davidson, 70, went home to her precious Lord and Savior Sunday, June 5, 2016. A family directed memorial service will be conducted at 2 PM on Sunday, June 12th at Covenant Christian Church in Paris with Dr. Steve Russell and Rev. Diana Russell officiating. Bright-Holland Funeral Home was in charge of cremation arrangements. She was born September 15, 1945, in Paris, Texas, to Malvin Evans Wasson and wife, Martha Drake Wasson. She graduated from Paris High School in 1963. She received her RN degree in 1977 from Grayson County College in Sherman, TX. She spent her nursing career at St. Joseph’s Hospital and retired due to her health. She loved serving and carrying for others. She was a long time member of Covenant Christian Church, where she served in various capacities. She loved her church family and they were a wonderful support system for her as her health declined. She is survived by her two sons, John David Maxwell of Paris and Robert Evans Maxwell of Granbury; grandchildren, Joshua Maxwell and wife Catie, of Deport, and Brooke Sumners and husband Ryan, of Paris; grandchildren, Ella Maxwell and Maibree Sumners; sisters, Melba Jeffus and husband, Stan of Rockwall and Sharon Cooper and husband, Greg of Plano; brother, Patrick J. Wasson of Garland; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, M. E. Wasson; mother, Martha Wasson; and brother, James E. Wasson. The family wishes to thank Kathy Carpenter and Fran Hamner for their many years of friendship, loving care, and support. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made in her name to Covenant Christian Church, 4055 S.E. Loop 286, Paris, TX 75462.
