

Marion Marvin Lester, 75, of Paris, passed away at his home, Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Fangio officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Lester, the son of Marvin “Mutt” & Edna Barnes Lester, was born April 7, 1940, in Paris. He worked many years at Paul Lester Wrecker Service. Marion was a kind and generous man who never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Robbie Lynn Lester, three brothers, Monroe, Robert & Rodger Lester, two sisters, Dorothy Lester and Evelyn Finney, and a sister-in-law, Donna Battey. Survivors include his wife, Linda Gail Huddleston Lester, whom he married on Feb. 16, 2000, children; Dewayne Lester & wife Samantha of Cleburne, Mark Lester & wife Kim of Boyd, Gayla Tietz & husband Ernie of Midlothian, Becky Fleming & husband Michael of Paris, Wesley Lester & wife Tina of Paris, Connie Young of Paris and Elizabeth “Sissy” Young of Paris, a step-son, David Helms of Ft. Worth, two brothers, Charlie Lester & wife Elaine of Paris and Paul Lester & wife Frances of Paris, two sisters, Opal Hunter & husband David of Powderly and Ruth Cooper & husband Ed of Paris, a brother-in-law, Grady Finney of Paris, a sister-in-law, Carolyn Lester of Paris, 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren along with a host of friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his caretakers, Janice Phillips & Linda Smith, with Premiere Hospice. Casket bearers will be: James Taylor, Zak Cain, Jason Baughn, Charlie Lester, Jr., Chuck Lester, Timmy Lester, David Hunter & Steve Owens.
