We met Rayford at a local resturant a few years ago before we all went off to work. Every morning he would greet us with a good morning and a smile. The conversation was always cordial and sometimes witty. We considered him our breakfast friend. Even when we would see him out in other places he was always friendly. We grew to like him very much. I know you will miss him. Hugs to the family. May you cherish all those memories I'm sure you have of him as you face the days ahead.

It's such a funny story ! One Saturday morning I happened to run into Richard and Glenn and Big brother Rayford .We where exchange story's about our lives and how he hadn't seen me in years ! Telling stories that I wasn't quite familiar with but went along with it ! After eating breakfast and Rayford picking up the tab for all of us .He reach out and shook my hand and said it was good to see you again Rodney ! I laugh and said now I know why the. Stories didn't add up ! I'm Kenneth I said with a chuckle! Well next five min with talked about his jeep and his struggles with his cancer ! Last thing I remember him saying is it's in the hand of God ! See you he said and drove off.He will truly be missed and was loved by all that knew him! Rest in peace my friend Rest in peace !

I will never forget his laugh. He laughed so hard and at the same time was looking around the room. That was him. Every time he saw me he would reach for a hug and say love you baby niece. I will forever miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with Trish, his children and grand children. We love you all.

I worked with Rayford in New Orleans while performing restoration after Hurricane Katrina. He was a enjoyable to work with and we became friends during the two weeks we spent together, sharing many laughs in a difficult time under difficult circumstances. Funniest time was we were in downtown returning after a day of work and he was almost out of gas and ran from truck to truck getting everyone's chainsaw gas to put in his truck, National Guard was escorting us and tried keeping him in his truck but Rayford won out. Good guy and we will all miss him. our deepest condolences to his family and apologies for not being present but I already have commitments that can't be changed.. Your friend, Billy Limerick (Oncor)
